Norm Macdonald is the latest actor with SNL blood to try his hand on the big screen. This movie, in which he co-wrote, is about 2 low lifers who's gift is to get revenge on those who have crossed them. And they "don't take crap" from anyone, a quote from Macdonald. They get an idea to make their work into a company, called Dirty Work. The film is basically a series of SNL skits, except they aren't quite as funny, although there are a few scenes that are histerical. Macdonald delivers the one-liners with the same calm, straight-faced expressions he used on SNL. He can't carry this movie alone, that's for sure, but he does get help with special appearances from comedians such as Don Rickles and Chevy Chase. Chris Farley also has a part in the movie, but it's the same routine from his other films. Another bad thing about this movie: Bob Saget directed it. 'Nuff said. |
