Clerks (1994)
CAST: Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Marilyn Ghigliotti, Lisa Spoonauer
DIRECTOR: Kevin Smith
MPAA RATING: R
RUNNING TIME: 92 Minutes
STUDIO: Miramax

CLERKS was Kevin Smith's first ever feature film. Dante Hicks (O'Halloran) is a Quick Stop clerk who gets called in on his day off. His buddy, Randal (Anderson), is his best bud who works in the video store next door. Mostly what's involved in this black-and-white shot film is different types of customers and the problems Hicks his having with his former and present girlfriend.

O'Halloran and Anderson portray their respective fields with perfection. They sit around, watch tv, and have discussions on pointless subjects. They do this all day while Jay and Silent Bob hang outside the store, dealing. Low, low budget with some laugh-out-loud scenes and crude dialogue.
