You think ants have simple lives? Think again. In this fascinating picture from Disney shows us there's a whole other world out there. The story revolves around an ant named Flik, who happens to be the "screw-up" in his ant colony. All his ideas, inventions, etc. always go bad.

The ants not only gather food for themselves, but they must also gather food for those nasty grasshoppers, led by the baddest one, Hopper (Kevin Spacey). After Flik messes up the process, he must seek out some "warrior" bugs to help the ants fight the grasshoppers when they return for the next season to eat. Of course, what he returns with are nothing but circus performers, and it's up to them and the ants to help stop the grasshoppers.

Watching this movie, I just couldn't believe the animation. It is astounding. Compared to the more adult-oriented Antz, the animation here is much smoother, and the colors flow more easily. In fact, everything about this movie is better than that ant movie from DreamWorks. It's funnier, has more bugs, personalities, and it's much more kid friendly. They will actually get the jokes in this ant picture. The standout voices are from Spacey and Dave Foley (Flik).

Disney has outdone themselves again. With the help of Pixar, Disney has offered up another instant classic. This film is for all ages, not just the kiddies. The best parts are the outtakes at the end of the credits were they show different ants mess up their lines, etc. It's quite a treat. And you thought ants had simple lives, didn't you?
