The Birds (1963)
CAST: Rod Taylor, Tippi Hedren, Jessica Tandy, Suzanne Pleshette
DIRECTOR: Alfred Hitchcock
MPAA RATING: PG-13
RUNNING TIME: 120 Minutes
STUDIO: Universal

Hitchcock's follow-up to PYSCHO is still disturbing to watch today. THE BIRDS' attacks on the small town of Bodega Bay are never understood or explained, which makes the film that much more chilling. This was the most technical film Hitchcock ever shot, considering the many special effects. Yeah, the effects are cheesy today, but back in the 60s, they were quite impressive. What's more, there is absolutely no music in this movie, not one note. The only noise are the screams from the victims and those eery bird squawks. Another classic from the master.
