There are 2 kinds of ants, workers and soldiers. Z (Voice of
Woody Allen) is a simple worker who doesn't like his position in
life. He's one of millions of ants working in the colony. The
princess of the colony and soon-to-be queen (Voice of Sharon
Stone) is tired of her position. She and Z accidentally embark on
a wild adventure "outside" of the colony. They're headed towards
the biggest fantasy in all of ant land, Insectopia. It's the stuff ant
dreams are made of. The visual effects are simply stunning. This movie has definitely put a jolt in the spines of Disney. DreamWorks is quietly dominating the movie scene by producing hit after hit after hit. Recent releases from this up and coming company are Saving Private Ryan and Deep Impact, 2 profitable movies. This film is very fun to watch. It appeals to all ages and the adults will probably have the most fun. The humor is geared towards them, though there are a couple of those "ah, how cute" scenes. Shows how much computers really can do. |
