Once the Germans have bombed an African tribe, Bogart comes to save the day. Hepburn, whose missionary brother dies during the WWII affair, is helped by the "jack of all trades" seaman, Bogart. They begin their passage through swampy waters, dodging all sorts of obstacles, including a German army who is attacking the �African Queen�. Most of the movie is about the 2 quarreling with each other and protecting each other. Hepburn was nominated for Best Actress while Bogart won the Oscar for Best Actor. Director John Huston�s film was shot in Africa, with some fine takes of creatures ranging from hippos to alligators.
