MOVIE

There are an enourmous amount of action. The plot's a little thin and the bad guy doesn't appear to be too evil. Brosnan is getting more comfortable in his role as 007. The opening scene and the fantastic motorcycle experience alone is worth the ticket price.

DISC

This is the exact same release as the "silver" cover S.E. The menus on this disc are very good, but GOLDFINGER's is a little bit better. This dvd is loaded with features, just as the other Bond S.E.'s are. This one features 2 commentaries, and a big 45-minute documentary featuring clips and info for all the Bond movies. This featurette was on here to support the 35-year anniversary of the series. I would have liked to see a featurette for this movie only. The video is good in general, but there are some dust spots here and there. The print is only 2 years old, so it should've been spotless. Colors are strong throughout. The audio shines on this disc. This Bond adventure has a little more action than most and the surround sound will prove it. Plenty of gunfire should suit the action junky.

LAST WORD

This is a great disc from MGM. GOLDFINGER is the best bond disc I've seen in terms of movie and features, but this one still would be a solid addition to your collection.
