Movie
The most expensive movie is also the highest grossing. What Titanic accomplished between late '97 and through 1998 may never be matched. Those $600 million bucks it made looks unbreakable as well. The movie event of the 20th Century is probably the most popular movie of all time.

Disc
The biggest movie gets great treatment. The audio stands out on this disc. We're talking major deep bass. The water rushing through the ship can be felt all around the room. The movie uses very good surround effects as well. The video isn't 16 x 9 enhanced, but it is still reference material. The colors are strong with no fading of any kind. The ocean scenes are magnificent. What the movie gains in A & V, it lacks in extras. Paramount is so stingy with their features. They never put anything on their dvds except the theatrical trailer. I'm sure there is a special editon in the works, but with James Cameron's busy schedule, don't look for one any time soon. Oh well, most will buy the disc just for the movie.

Overall
A no-brainer. If you want to impress your friends with a dvd, put this one in the player. Great demo material.
