Arnold returns, except this time he�s programmed to protect rather than to kill. John Connor, the future�s hope of stopping the terminators, is accompanied by Schwarzenegger. A new type of terminator, made of liquid metal, is sent to kill John. Cameron also wrote and directed this high-powered sequel to the classic The Terminator. Much more dazzling effects and action in this film. May be more popular than the original. **The inclusion of the added scenes make the film even better**

The Ultimate Edition has the ultimate features. You get 3! versions of the film, all on one side via seemless branching. Next up are 3 documentaries, with each a look at production, the special edition scenes, and the T2 3D theme park ride. Very nice. Also include is a huge commentary featuring everyone involved with T2. You get some very nifty menus, which are fairly easy to navigate. There's really not much else that can be added on this disc. A collector's delight.
Audio
The reference quality that the laserdisc and the previous dvd release is one-upped by the DTS track for this release. It blows everything away. Bass is rich and very deep, while the surrounds put you in the action. You'll get stuff moving from left to right in seconds. The bass is active, almost too active. There's also a DD 5.1 track, which is solid, but if you've got the hardware, be sure the DTS track is selected. To top things off, there's an extremely cool liquid metal presentation of the THX logo. Superb mix.
Video
This is supposedly a newer transfer of the film. I couldn't tell hardly any difference between this and the first release. Everything is crisp, from the bright colors down to the deep blacks. No specks, grain, or dust here. Resolution is top notch and the detail isn't lost at all during the night scenes. An excellent transfer.
Overall
Well, the fans wanted an ultimate edition of this film and they got it. The inclusion of the Special Edition really makes this a great package. If you're going to watch T2, make sure to select the SE. The added scenes really give the story an extra boost. Plop down your hard earned money for this one. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!
