Movie
This movie didn't exactly receive praises from the major critics and was considered a box office disapointment. I actually found it to be thrilling throughout most of the picture, though the last 30 minutes dragged a bit. Hey, this isn't Levinson's best work, but he strings together a story that is pretty entertaining. Had it not been for the cast, this film would have been a total disaster.

Disc
I wouldn't exactly call this a special edition, as it is printed on the cover. This is really a slightly enhanced standard release. The menus are non-animated. The documentary is only 15 minutes, which leaves a fairly entertaining commentary between the 2 stars. The audio is really good. You will hear, and feel, a constant bass throughout most of the film. It's good enough for demo purposes. The video, anamorphic by the way, is fabulous. The underwater shots are quite good, though it's nothing like what The Abyss offers.

Overall
This film was a surprise, in the fact that it didn't stink, as most critics said. I thought it was entertaining, and you gotta love that cast. Retail on this one is only $20, so you can find it reasonable. Recommended.
