When people mention scary movies, the often discuss the "Friday the 13th" films, the "Halloween" films, "Scream", and so on. Yet, you never hear "Pumpkinhead" mentioned. Why? For an extremely low-budget offering, the movie still has some scares. And the creature? You know Pumpkinhead would be the crap out of any of those so called serial killers.

Features
C'mon! Did you expect Pumpkinhead to have anything on it besides the trailer? Shame on you.

Audio
Stereo surround is well below reference quality. This is a cheap, late 80s film, so sound is not a factor.

Video
It's not 16x9 enhanced, but definitely about 15 steps above what you saw on VHS or the Sci-Fi channel. Sadly, this film is only presented in standard pan & scan. Of course, it's hard to believe a widescreen version is even available. For a film like this, you won't lose much picture. As for the transfer, plenty of grain, muddled colors, alot of darkness. Exactly what you'd expect from a cheap, late 80s film.

Overall
It's at a bargain price of $19.99 retail, so if you like it, it won't cost much.
