Film
When it comes to playing rich, greedy businessmen, Michael Douglas tops the list. He makes this movie work. The movie could have been a little better, especially if the ending was a little more thrilling. But in all, this was an above average remake of Alfred Hitchcock's classic DIAL M FOR MURDER. Most remakes usually turn out to be disasters, but this one dodged the bullet.

Features
Certainly not as loaded as some other SE's, this one still has some stuff to offer. Most noticeable is the alternate ending. This one was scrapped fairly close to release time. And I'm glad to report that it should have been. The original isn't great or anything, but it's still several notches above this one. There are also 2 commentaries to listen to.

Audio
This thriller doesn't use the 5.1 that much. The dialogue is recorded at a nice volume and that dominates the film. The surrounds and bass wake up during some of the more thrilling scenes.

Video
Another terrific 16x9 transfer from Warner. No grain, dust, or any other type of artifact can be found here. Even the dark scenes still show strong detail.

Overall
Definitely an ejoyable movie. For the right price, pick this one up.
