Film
5 years ago, a tiny film called FRIDAY quickly became a cult-classic for the 90s crowd. Not only was it extremely funny, but it was smart as well. 5 years later, the sequel to the sleeper hit arrives. With a big thud.

Could this movie be any unfunnier? I think I laughed 3 times, and those were really just smiles. All of the coolness from the first film is lost in this garbage. These characters are so forgettable. Once they leave the screen, they'll leave your memory. And when one of them shows up later, you'll be thinking "who is this?"

If there is another movie, which there should be given this film grossed over $55 million, I hope Cube moves back to the 'hood. I don't want to ever experience another Friday like this.

Features
The original got good treatment, but was a little thin on extras. This dvd is loaded, as you get commentary, a featurette, an alternate ending, and more. Alot more to chew on with this disc, even though the movie is lousy.

Audio
FRIDAY had 2.0 stereo sound, and this has a 5.1 track, so there is a difference. Mainly with the bass, as the soundtrack for this movie bumps a lot more. Surrounds are useless, but with a lousy movie, who cares.

Video
Another fantastic 16x9 transfer from New Line. There are much more color use in this sequel and it shows. They jump off the screen. A completely flawless transfer.

Overall
Why buy an unfunny Friday movie when you can have the original one...that is funny?
