Tom Selleck is a New York Yankee ballplayer who's best days are behind him. When a young rookie is brought in to take his place, Selleck gets shipped off to Japan. Along the way, he must adapt to how Japanese baseball is played and must shed his cocky attitude if he wants to keep playing. Throw in a love interest, a few good one-liners, some realistic action, and you have the makings of a decent "Major League" wannabe.

For a 2.0 track, this one sounds really good. The baseball action not only looks authentic, but it sounds like it too. A very nice recording.
Video
Goodtimes has never released a 16x9 transfer, but this still looks very sharp. Colors are very vivid, and there's only a hint of specks and grain. This 8 year old film looks new on dvd.
Overall
If "Major League" is checked out, give this one a rent.
