Disc
You know this is going to be a nice presentation because the dvd is from DreamWorks. While the features are a little skimpy, they're still fairly enjoyable. The featurette is better than most, even though it clocks at 10 minutes. It crams a whole bunch of information, and would have been better had it been a documentary. There are 7 deleted scenes, as well as very short snippets of interviews. The menus are pretty nifty and the Thermian audio track, though a neat idea, is very lame. I listened to about 5 seconds of it and that was enough.

For the audio and video, it's a much different story. The video is a great anamorphic transfer. This is a very colorful movie and the disc brings out strong blacks, with rich colors. There were only a few small moments of any specks. The audio track is fairly aggressive. The sub-woofer will dish out a bit of bass and since this is an outerspace movie, the surrounds are active. Especially when the ships fly around, very cool sounds. Once again, DreamWorks proves they belong in the same sentence as Universal, Columbia, and New Line.

Overall
This should be a big seller on video. It's an easy recommendation. You'll have fun with the disc, but more fun with the movie. A very nice package. Highly recommended.
