Movie
John Travolta is one of the best when it comes to playing the bad guy. He plays the nutcase bad guy to perfection in this big actioneer from director John Woo. Travolta has captured 2 nuclear warheads and is threatening detination of them if he doesn't get lots of money. It's up to his former pilot partner Christian Slater to save the day. Anytime the name Woo is attached to a movie, you know lots of stuff will blow up and that there will be plenty of gunfire. Great effects, blazing action, and a psychotic Travolta makes this movie a winner.

Disc
I'm glad the movie is entertaining because the dvd isn't. Let's talk about the good stuff first. And that is the audio. Wow! This is by far one of the best sounding discs out there. This movie's audio is below Saving Private Ryan or The Thin Red Line, but it is of top quality. The explosions erupt with bass and the gunfire is loud and rapid. Great audio. Too bad the video sucks. This is a terrible transfer. The whole film looks dark and there are tons of pixelation to be found. A very poor job from Fox. Can you say rushed? The features are a trailer. Hip, hip, hooray.

Overall
I liked the film. If you like John Woo, you shouldn't be disappointed. The audio is demo material, but the features and the video totally stink up the joint. It's a coin toss.
