Movie
Russell and Quinlan are a couple moving to San Diego.
They're trip is unexpectedly interrupted when they're car
won't run anymore. A trucker stops, and Quinlan rides off
with him to call for help. Funny thing is, she doesn't return.
And Russell spends the rest of the movie looking for his
missing wife.
Disc
This dvd was released before Paramount started supporting 16x9 enhancement. I wished it would've been one of their newer releases. The video is pretty fine, but there are some dark places near the top of the screen. Dust spots will surface, but they aren't too noticeable. The audio is the reason to buy this disc. It's a great mix. The bass is deep and noisy, while the film makes good use of your rear channels. The car chases should be good demo material for your speakers. The trailer is on here and that's it. Not a suprise that a Paramount disc has 1 feature.
Overall
I've seen this movie like 10 times, so I'll recommend it on the movie alone. As for dvd in general, it has outstanding audio and the video is better than anything else you've seen it on. I just wished it was anamorphic.
