"Big Momma's House" borrows some from "Mrs. Doubtfire", but ultimately is a very different movie. The big difference is there's no fake, mushy, "get you to cry" scenes. This is the ghetto version and it stars Martin Lawrence, who's an FBI agent going undercover to find out about some stolen money.

You really have to appreciate the comedy Lawrence provides this time. He's doing it in a gigantic prothetics suit, which has to be extremely uncomfortable. And he's not just telling jokes, he's doing quite a bit of physical comedy.

"Big Momma's House" won't win any awards, but for 90 minutes, it'll keep your attention and keep you laughing.

Features
This is a full blown special edition from Fox. You get a nice 20-minute documentary which focuses mainly on the makeup. Also, there are some funny bloopers, deleted scenes, an audio commentary, music videos, and more. Fox is proving once again that they know how to put together a feature-filled disc.

Audio
Another comedy, another quiet soundtrack. The only time the audio kicks in is when they're playing a song. But you don't have to turn the volume up to hear anything, everything sounds at a nice level. The 5.1 track does the job.

Video
Another terrific 16x9 transfer. The picture is sharp, with strong coloring and lots of detail. No complaints.

Overall
This is Lawrence's funniest film to date. Add some great features, and there's no reason to not buy this.
