The movie that kickstared "hype" in Hollywood. Not only was this a commercial hit in the US and overseas, but it was a giant in merchandising. It was also the cornerstone to one of the most profitable series' in history, even if the Batman films seem to get worse as they go along. The main attraction in this film is easily Jack Nicholson's chilling, yet over-the-top portayal of the Joker.

Nothing here but some bios and some production notes. A special edition is supposed to be in the works.
Audio
This remastered track won't knock you down, but it's still pretty agressive. Most of the noise is up front and the bass is pretty active. Subtle, yet still effective.
Video
A dark film like this still looks great. Film way back in 1989, "Batman" looks new. No major artifacting can be found.
Overall
This is a safe one to recommend.
