Upon
reviewing the web sites posted at the final page, I've have come to the
conclusion that web design for other companies can be a well paying
job. According to the statistics, a general web design person can make
approximately 68,000 dollars a year, compared to a person with a
Masters degree who makes around 56,000 dollars a year. You can quite
conceivably make more money with a few hours of classroom education,
then a man with a several years at a university. Although web design
has been interesting I will probably use me new found skills for
personal sites and not pursue a job in web designing. After high school
I will go to college in either become a G.P. Doctor or get a liberal
arts degree.
The article I read was "
A Quick Loading Site."
This article was interesting because it gave you tips on how to make
your site load faster even with a crappy Internet connection. One idea
for example, was to take out all animations and replace them with
pictures, and sound or possibly just pictures! Even then, your picture
should not be longer than 600x600 pictures. Another useful tip is to
define the size of your images that way the browser doesn't have to
constantly re-size them. Finally, you can use the same images on
different pages that way the computer only has to load a couple.
