God of: Guardian of Asgard
Appearance: Heimdall posesses a horn named Gjallarhorn and has a sword named Hofund, his horse is named Gulltop and is able to travel through the nine worlds.

Heimdall is the son of the "Nine Waves"; the nine Mermaid daughters of Ęgir and Ran, his father is unknown but some sources say he is Wodan.
He lives in Asgard in a palace named Himinbjorg ("Heaven-Stronghold") and his duty is guarding Bifrost, the rainbow that grants access to Asgard.
He never sleeps and can see everything around him, he can see the future and his hearing is so developed that he can even hear the grass grow, Heimdall carries a horn named Gjallarhorn that he will blow at the first sign of danger, the sound of his horn will signal the beginning of Ragnarök.
At Ragnarök Heimdall will fight with the god Loki, who has chosen the side of evil; eventually they will kill eachother.
Heimdall once visited Midgard disguised as a traveller named Rigr and created the three classes of humans that are mentioned in the Rigsžula; Thrall (Slave), Karl (Free man), and Jarl (Noble).
