Marge sits on the couch knitting, while Homer stands by the door.

Homer:

I've had it up to here with those kids!

Marge:

Calm down, dear.

Homer:

They're driving me out of my mind! That's why I bought this book on

hypmotism. [sic] [shows book]

Marge:

What?

Homer:

I'll hypmotize 'em. Maybe then we can get some peace and quiet

around here!

Marge:

I don't know, Homer. The kids get kind of rambunctious sometimes,

but I think that's norm{al.}

Homer:

{A little} rambunctious? They're bouncin' off the walls!

Homer opens the door, and we peer inside. As he described, Bart and

Lisa are indeed bouncing off the walls. (Maggie just sits on the floor.)

Lisa sings, ``La-la-la-la-la'' while Bart goes ``Blubdublubdublub''.

Homer shuts the door.

Marge:

I'll hold 'em, you hypnotize 'em.

Marge and Homer are in the play room, the three kids standing together.

Homer brandishes a watch on a chain.

Marge:

Look, children! We have a treat for you!

Homer:

You're going to get hypmotized!

The watch dangles in front of the kids, who watch it swing back and forth.

Marge:

Now look at the watch.

Homer:

You're getting sleepy. Sleeeeeepy.

Marge:

Sleepy.

Close-up on Lisa's eye as it watches the watch, then closes.

Marge:

Verrry sleeeepy...

All three kids have shut their eyes. Bart snores.

Homer:

From now on, you will be gooood little children.

The three kids nod.

Marge:

It's working!

Homer:

They're not brats any more!

The kids each open one eye and exchange glances.

Marge:

Gasp!

The kids wander around the room Frankenstein-like.

Marge:

Oh no! They're zombies!

{The kids fall on the floor laughing.}

Homer:

{Laughing zombies!}

The kids sit on the floor, somewhat dazed from their ``ordeal''.

Lisa:

Hoo boy, that was a doozy!

Bart pats his head, trying to recover.

Homer:

Are you kids okay?

Bart:

Oh, man. Where am I?

Marge:

We'll never try to modify your behavior again.

Lisa:

[brightly] Okay, I'm better!

Bart:

Back to normal!

The kids resume bouncing off the walls.

Marge:

Awww...

Homer:

Fine bunch of kids, aren't they.

Bart:

Think fast, Homer!

Bart pitches a ball into Homer's ample stomach. Then he returns to

bouncing off the walls.

Marge:

Homer, go get that watch again.
