| THE GUARDIANS:are the celestial beings that controlled the portals at one time. Although the beings were immortal, they were dying. Their scriptures spoke of one young maiden, pure of heart that would over-come great obstacles. They watched for many seasons. Not able to interfere with any of the lands troubles, wars and woes. Until the time came they bestowed upon a young maiden their wisdom.. She had been chosen at birth, taken into the bosom of the guardians and trained in the skills of controlling these portals in her world and that of others. Great changes will occur due to this. In her land and in her life.  The Lady Sarah will come to realize there must be darkness for there to be light, there must be evil for there to goodness. There must be a balance at which she can not interfere with constantly. |

| RHODRICK, known as Rhodrick the Falcon. A trained assassin, he pledged his life to Mya's, and came with her from Abyssinia as her bodyguard. He was soon charmed by Lady Sarah and Raven's Keep, and vowed to change his ways. While helping to rebuild Messina after a battle, he died when a damaged building fell on him. He was honored by all his friends in Raven's Keep, which he had helped defend. |
| THE CHILDREN. While fighting the army of Kring, Mya was transported to an alternate world. It was a barren place, devastated by a long-ago war. In an underground shelter she discovered a number of children placed in suspended animation, all with special gifts of magic. Their guardian placed them in her care, bidding her to help them escape their dying world. This she did, leading them through a portal back to Raven's Keep. For now, they have been unofficially adopted by Savant and Mya. |
| KRING, a warlord from an alternate world, leader of a violent and bloodthirsty people who worshipped a violent and bloodthirsty god. They raped and pillaged the land and even lay siege to the Keep itself, before their god was driven off by the combined might of this world's own gods. |
| MARIAM CERILE. Though once a servant employed at the D'Ambreeville Manor, the deaths of Lord Robert and Lady Lillian forced her into a change in residence. She decided to come to the Keep to look after her former employer's niece Talinda D'Ambreeville, but, as always, has decided to make herself useful. Currently, this rather jovial rounded woman serves as the cook of the Keep. When she's not trying to feed everyone, she is attempting to be a matchmaker, which can lead to some very interesting adventures in its own right. |

| Jacob is the only warrior druid left of his clan. His brothers specialized more in the arts of magic, while Jacob enthralled himself in his battle skills. This making Jacob a more desired allie in combat or battle. His nature however, is solemn most of the time and he speaks very little. He is very close to his brothers as he is the eldest. |
