| Nicole Coberly Matson |
| My name is Nicole Coberly Matson. I'm a native of Houston, TX (go Astros!), living in Suffolk, VA (Peanut Capital of the World), about to relocate in fall 2002 to New York City (NYC, baby!). I'll be attending New York University and studying theatre at the Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, and living in the Village. (From Texas to the Metropolis > of metropoli, such is my odyssey.) I've been RP-ing Coberly the Grey for about four years, first Coberly #1 in a group called Glenraven, and now Coberly #2 in Raven's Keep. Yes, he was named after Gandalf the Grey - The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings is my favorite fantasy series. Coberly also demonstrates my affinity for the TTT - Tall, Thin, and Tortured - character, or, as Jess (a.k.a. Sophie) likes to say: "Nicole, you're really hard on your character!" Hmmm, interests.... I act, sing, would like to learn to dance to become a musical theatre triple-threat but - alas! - skill at dancing is a ways off yet, and once tried my hand at the guitar and the fencing foil (which I need to try again). I also like movies, my three favorites being Shadowlands (with Sir Anthony Hopkins as C.S. Lewis), The Fugitive, and The Prince of Egypt. My favorite TV shows are M*A*S*H, The West Wing, and Star Trek (especially ST: The Next Generation). My favorite book is Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo. Its story of forgiveness, compassion, and redemption for the convict Jean Valjean helped lead me both to God and to a passion for prison and criminal justice reform, especially the abolition of the death penalty. All that being said, Raven's Keep is a great place. I'm very honored to have been a part of it. I have made friends here who have become closer than I had ever imagined, and I thank you all for your smiles, caring, and love in my life. The players of Raven's Keep will always have a friend in me. |
