Character Descripton:
Cara is an ajeyan, a strange race from another world that legendarily resulted from a mixing of angelic and demonic blood into a tribal society of a felinish creature.  On their world, the magic feild stabalizes this strange mix to make the creatures appear indistinguishable from humans.  However, this is a rather unique feild, and when they travel to other worlds, the liniage becomes visually quite apparent.

Cara's body is, for the most part, that of a female human, apparently about age 21, at least as far as facial structure, torso, and the upper half of her main four limbs go, with shock white/blonde hair to about mid back with one braided strand falling down in front.  Her very human eyes are normally a light violet, but this can vary from a sky blue to a dark crimson depending on her mood.  That's where the similarities end.  From the elbow/knee down, her arms and legs have a light soft covering of light brown fur, her ears are located closer to the top than to the side of her head which appear catlike in nature,  Slight fangs, hardly noticeable, reside inside her mouth, while a very definatly catlike tail grows from her lower back.  The feature that is the biggest attention getter is the wings.  From the front, they appear as bluish batlike wings, much like that seen on a demon.  These wings appear much diffrent from behind however, as they are covered on that side in pure ! white feathers.  If one could see the back of her neck, they would find an intricate rune elaborately rune of a very apparent magical nature written there, though her hair covers this quite well.

Her typical clothing looks quite similar to something that would be seen worn by the typical natives of the american plains durring 'this time period,' mostly just leather 'shirt' that reaches about to her knees with a handfull of colorfully decorated strips, reciently the back of this had been torn raggedly however to add for the nesecity for a slot for her wings.  She doesn't appear to be armed with much more than a simple whittling knife, though she has claws at the ends of her fingertips that look at least relatively menacing.  As far as anything like jewelry goes, she carries something about strung to her neck that seems to be some kind of hinged amulet, possibly a locket.  Inside is a scrap of paper bearing a well made sketch of a human woman with features almost exactly like hers holding two young children with similar facial features, one of them slightly larger than the other, dressed in a style very much like the one she wears.  Apparently, it is quite valuable to ! her, and she will protect this item very carefully, pleading with anyone who takes it to return it and attacking anyone who threatens to damage it.

Cara doesn't speak the common language, at least not very well.  Her own language is comparitavely very simple which results in her often picking the wrong word for what she means. Her language is apparently not very dificult to learn for some, however it is very close to the language used for spellcasting incantations, and at first some mages might mistake a simple hello for some form of spell that they might not have encountered, though some might be able to understand what she is saying.

History: Cara was born in possibly the only village of her kind to exist, on her world, in the midst of a jungle called the Ajeya Forest.  She rose in ranks durring her life to the position of high druid, or effectivly the position of village elder.  Her people were very devote to magic, each of them being 'gifted' with an ability at birth, usually.  Her ability was that of premonition, one that gave her little help as most things in the village were very trivial and didn't give her much unrest like the typical seers usually end up with.  At reaching matureity she took a mate and proudly gave birth to a pair of twins, Jamusndude (Named for the father, Jamussuna,) and Jafreysuna, and basicly lead a happy life, more or less.

That changed on the twin's fifth birthday.  On the night of the ritual on which the boys would be assigned a rune, her sleep was plauged with nightmares of the village being destroyed by dark riders, of all the villagers being cut down where they stood.  She knew she was reciving this message so that she must stop it, though she herself could not, she had time.  She had to find the leader of the humans at the old Drakin Keep, with their help the dark riders would not be able to reach the forest.

But she arrived too late.  When she finally reached the Keep, she was told that the lady had left in search of a mage and had not returned in quite some time.  Not discouraged, Cara looked to use her seeing power to find the wayward keeper.  Easily she found the path to the place to go to get to where Lady Drakin was, but she did not heed her own premonitions well enough.  As she fell into a portal the last premonition struck her, that she was not to find the lady but to wait for her, or else, she would not see her children again....

The gate Cara had stepped into did not actually lead to anywhere near Ravenskeep, but to an island far from it.  She didn't realize her body would transform due to exposure to the unusual magic feild and was quite confused as to what was on her back until she saw her hand.  She terrified herself the first time she saw her reflection.

Personality: Cara is a rather calm person, a bit nieve like most Ajeyans about other humanish races and is usually quite confused by their behavior at times.  She's more likely to avoid people before they see her, an instinct from home that is amplifyed by the change in her appearance.

This is not always the case however.  Ajeyan's strange breeding makes them mentally a little unstable.  If angered greatly enough, she will slip in behavior switching to a slightly more violent method of dealing with her problems.

Reguarding her amulet, she might show it to a character that has warmed up to her enough to earn some trust, which could take some doing, or she may never allow someone to look inside.

Capabilities: Cara may appear defenceless but she is by far very capable.  She is trained in a bizzare form of unarmed combat developed by her people that puts full emphasis on their inhuman agility and strength.  This style seems to contort the spinal column in ways it was never ment to be bent, as far as humans are concerned. In fact, they would be right as one of the few diffrences between the two races on her world is simple that humans had fewer vertibrea and could not bend their backs in some of those patterns.

She carries a carving knife with her, but she's better at carving runes into fallen branches with it than she is at fighting with it.

She has quite formidable magic, she was trained to be a high druid for her people, which says quite a bit.  She has full control over cold magic, within a reasonable limit.  If it comes to fighitng, she's more likely to make a weapon from ice spells than to attack with the normal weapons available off hand.  She also has a vast knowledge of how magic works and can create enchantments of any sort, and is a reasonably good healer.

The runes on her neck are a strange sort of curse/blessing.  She can, for the most part, use a slightly advanced form of telepathy or empathy to communicate, but she looses this ability if she's shocked.  By any ammount.  She also isn't used to cold weather, having lived in a tropical climate most of her life, however her magic does give her some help there.

Ajeyans have a very highly developed sence of smell with a very unusual ability.  They can usually catch scents from the undead, especially vampires, at about 100 ft. and can usually tell a demon by scent at 20 ft.  These are throwbacks from their liniage, as the catlike people had great sences of smell and hearing, and the angel had to be able to tell demons. (Longer backstory, will provide if requested.)  Also, if one catches the scent of an undead creature, a strange type of adrenaline in there system kicks in that has the effect of bringing their strengh and speed to match that of the creature they senced, as well as increasing their alertness and boosting their natural restoration level.  The local human population once sought them out as guards when they feared an attack from vampires.

Cara's wings are functional, but she's an incredibly clumsy flyer as she isn't actually sure how to use them.  Before she came here, she didn't have them.

Cara can cast very powerful spell to call all the force of a great blizard into a concentrated blast, but she will refuse to use this ability as it takes too much out of her.  Spells of this nature are common among her people, but most live their life without ever having need to use such last resorts.  She plans to follow that path as well.  Using such abilities tend to render the caster comatose or very close to it for some time afterwards.
