GETTING A BICYCLE READY FOR THE ROAD
This Peugeot PS28 was found at the local landfill site by a fellow collector.  The bike is going to get a complete refurbishment, from bottom bracket to tire replacement.  All necessary tasks required to get this bicycle road worthy will be covered in future information sharing articles, associated with this project.

PS28 RESTORATION UPDATE
NOVEMBER 2, 2003
Built up and redy to go, the PS28 offered a good ride onits first time out.  The bicycle is fast and responsive, qualities common to most racers.
The PS28 sat, more or less, on hold for quite some time.  Building is mostly a cold weather activity, leaving riding as the summer month focus.
A few weeks ago, a set of 700c wheels were found for the Peugeot.  Once installed, time was invested to set up brakes and shifters in preparation for the all important "test ride"

The test ride proved to be short and uneventful.  The bike allowed a brief "hands off" flight with no apparent pulling to either side.  The frame and fork integrity is proven acceptable to me and the project can move to the next level - full restoration.

However, the Peugeot's restoration  will have to wait for a while.  Presently, other bicycles, since acquired, take restoration and/or refurbishment preferance.  The
Bianchi "Rekord" 848 and the Canadian built Miele are the rebuild focus of attention for this winter's velo projects.
