1963 AMC Rambler Classic 770 (4dr) Station Wagon
1963 Ramblerbought 9/5/77 $50, sold 4/14/78 $300
First car owned!  196cid 6cyl with twin stick OD manual transmission.  AM radio, heater, bucket seats.  My father (a Rambler mechanic at the time) bought it for me.

1959 AMC Rambler Ambassador  Custom Country Club (4dr) Hardtop
1959 Ramblerbought 4/22/78 $100, sold 12/31/78 $400
I saw this car at a gas station and couldn't resist.  It's the one I wish I had back!!!!!  Nice AMC 327 V8 (better than a Chevy!), Push button AT, Power steering, heater, Power brakes, AM radio, clock.

1965 AMC Rambler Marlin (2dr hardtop sportback)
1965 Ramblerbought10/4/78 $250, sold 8/11/79 $600
Dad got this car in San Francisco and I loved it's Sea Green interior.  So I sold the Ambassador and got it from dad.  It had 327 V8, AC, AT, AM radio, consol, disk brakes, Power steering, Power brakes, tilt wheel, clock.  We installed a factory Air conditioner (they fit in very nicely into the dash, etc.).  I loved this car but mom still teases to this very day about it's small trunk lid!!!!!

1964 AMC Rambler American 440H (2dr hardtop)
bought 8/16/80 $650, sold 1/15/81 $750
After selling the Marlin I bought a '66 Chrysler New Yorker, then replaced that with a '60 Volvo (yuck!).  Again Dad bought this car and I took this car from Dad to replace the Volvo.  Note that Dad had a car of his own already, he and I just loved to fix Ramblers!

1965 AMC Rambler Classic (4dr sedan)
bought12/15/84 $200, sold 12/27/86 $300(?)
I sold the '64 American and bought a '65 Cadillac Sedan deVille, then traded that in for my first new car a '83 Plymouth Colt hatchback.  Unfortunatly I had to give that car up as I couldn't afford the payments. After totally being without a car I was finally able to coax my father to loan me money to get the '65 Rambler. My LAST Rambler Sigh! In the background of the picture you can see my fathers '65 Rambler wagon and the '74 Hornet I bought that was a bargain I couldn't pass up!

1974 AMC Hornet (2dr sedan)
bought 10/17/86 $300, sold 3/7/90 $400
The poor old '65 Rambler needed transmission work so I was 'ordered' to replace it.  Seeing this Hornet in the paper for $300 (cheaper than doing the transmission) was a temptation I couldn't resist.  I needed a 'newer' car to be able to get parts for anyway.  I really liked this car!

1975 AMC Matador (station wagon)
bought 10/15/89 $400, sold 9/6/90 $700
I guess my love affair with wagons got me on the case of changing cars again but anyway this car also needed transmission work and I didn't have the money so again I was 'forced' to get another car.  I really love owning station wagons for hauling model railroad layouts amoungst other things!  This car had so many problems that I can see why AMC failed!  So I got the '75 Cad and have been 'happy' ever since, though I wish I had a Rambler...

The last of the AMC's was replaced with:
'75 Cadillac Coupe deVille 8/13/90 $1,700 4/6/98 $ 1,000 (I owned for 71/2 years!)
'76 Cadillac Coupe deVille 8/16/95 won 11/12/95 $300 (I won in a contest but had to sell it)
‘88 Dodge Colt DL Wagon 4/6/98 $4180 less trade in of '75 Cadillac
