Through the Gospels, we know how much God loves us and we know that to Him it doesn't matter how we are measured by other people. My faith in God through Christ has certainly helped me understand that. Faith reassured me throughout my career because I came to believe that God is not necessarily interested in the outcome of sports--he is interested in people who play sports.
