Solomon asked Huram for a skilled artisan and lumber and Solomon sent him a one-time gift of grain (2:9 [10]), wine, and oil. Huram: Because Yahweh loves his people he has made you king. Vv. 12-13 [13-14] I have sent Huram-abi, son of a Danite woman [same ancestry as Oholiab in Exod 31:6; 35:34; 38:23] and of a Tyrian man, as a multi-talented artisan. v. 15 (16) We will send timber to Joppa and you can take it to Jerusalem. |
