Psalm 24
Worshipers The earth belongs to Yahweh with its fullness;
The world, too, and those who live in it;
For he has founded it upon the seas;
Upon the rivers he has established it.
Who can go up to the mountain of Yahweh?
Who can stand in his holy place?
Priests The one with clean hands and pure heart,
The one who has not turned to false objects of trust,
The one who has not sworn deceitfully
That person will receive blessing from Yahweh,
Vindication from his or her saving God.
Such is the company of those who consult him,
Who seek your face, [O God of] Jacob.
Worshipers Raise up your heads, O gates!
Be exalted, O doors of the netherworld!
The king of glory would enter!
Gatekeeper Who presumes to be the king of glory?
Worshipers Yahweh: The mighty one, the hero;
Yahweh: The hero in battle.
Raise up your heads, O gates!
Be exalted, O doors of the netherworld!
The king of glory would enter!
Gatekeeper Who dares to call himself the king of glory?
Worshipers Yahweh of the heavenly armies! He is the king of glory!
