Praise Yahweh!

Servants of Yahweh, praise Yahweh.

Praise the name of Yahweh.

Let the name of Yahweh be blessed

from now until forever.

From the place where the sun rises to the place of its setting

the name of Yahweh is to be praised.

 

Yahweh is exalted above all nations

Yahweh’s glory is above the heavens.

Who is like Yahweh our God--

exalted in his place of enthronement

quite low in the places where he looks--

In heaven and in earth?

 

Yahweh raises the poor from the dust

From the ash heap Yahweh exalts the needy

in order to make them sit with leaders

with the leaders of Yahweh’s people.

 

Yahweh makes a barren woman live in a house

the joyful mother of children.

Praise Yahweh!
