Spent a lot of my life looking for answers, and for me the bottom line as far as material life goes, is given by this man Henry George - as you might guess - a hero of mine. He was a good man who deserves much more attention than he gets - nothing has changed since he lived, indeed little has changed for the last three thousand years where these things are concerned. All that happens is that we lose touch with the planet, and in doing so, we forget more and more, the freedom that is our birthright as living beings, the freedom we all once possessed, could and should again.
Name: Steve Wall
Age: 40 (and yes, life has begun!)
Appearance: Pot-bellied, balding, ageing ex-hippy. Well not really, except the ex-hippy bit - though maybe not so ex either...!
Born: London UK - lived various places in UK. Travelled Europe, USA, Jamaica, now living in Scotland.
Occupation: Owns and runs a small Organic Wholefood distribution and retailing company here in Scotland.
Hobbies: Designing and building eco-homes, machines, (www.envisioneer.net), shamanism, listening to and playing music: roots, jazz and a wee bit of classical. Also writing, playing Bridge and Snooker, walking in the woods and climbing the magnificent hills around here.
Interests: Radically transforming the way things are organised so that our laws and customs much more closely match the beauty of the planet we've been gifted with by the Creator (insert god/dess of choice here.......). There are laws controlling Creation, and if we don't find the wit to use them to guide our own legal structures, the future can only get worse. Ignorance is destruction, as the news will tell you any and every day.
Aims: To tread lightly, leaving not only footprints, but to beat a path worth following.
Failings:Far too modest, lacking in self-confidence, unable to appreciate the general insanity that passes for reality.
