Rhythmic gymnastics is a relatively new sport in the United States that combines dance and tumbling with hand apparatus such as rope, ball, hoop, ribbon, and clubs.
R. A. C. is home to the only competitive rhythmic team in Nevada! Our rhythmic program teaches girls ages 5 and over how to "dance with toys". This year we are working with the ball, hoop, and rope as we prepare for competitions and exhibitions.
We have previously performed exhibitions for the AAPHERD National Convention, Silver State Games Opening Ceremonies, and Carson Valley Middle School Health Fairs. R. A. C. Gymnasts have also competed in several competitions including the 1998 Northern California/Nevada State Championships, and the 2001 L. A. Lights Invitational. |
