| January 17, 2003: As I haven't updated this site in awhile a lot of news is unaccounted for. In a nutshell The level 4 gymnasts did great over the fall season with highlights being Hayley and Annika receiving 9's on vault for 1st and 2nd place respectively, Danielle's first place finish on beam, and Annika's 6ht place finish on Bars at the State Championships. In October, the Truckee Meadows Team with their coaches Stoyan and Anni join us as we are lending them our facility until they find their own. The preschool program was disbanded in November due to lack of members and instructors. The Christmas Show went great this year with all of R. A. C. and Truckee Meadows showing off whast they could do. Gabriella competed Level 5 rhythmic at the CYC Friendship Invite on January 12 and placed 2nd in Ball and 3rd in Rhythmic floor Ex and Hoop. R. A. C. gymnasts Annika, Danielle, Hannah, Katherine, Michelle, and Sarah moved to Level 5 and will compete in their first Level 5 competition in Boise, ID with Class V gymnast, Jared Grosskopf. (Good Luck!) July 30, 2002: Jared Michael was born! You can meet him at the gym, but please do not pick him up or touch him without Steffany or Jim asking you if you want to first. July 29 - August 10, 2002: The gym will be closed for two weeks as Steffany, Jim, and Ryan welcome the new member to their family. The gym will resume classes on August 12th with Jim and Chris taking over all of the coaching for two more weeks. Please remember that the new baby is off limits until his immunity gets stronger. July 15th: The Booster club has new officers President: Shannon Withrow Vice President: Steffany Walker Treasurer: Michelle Eich Secretary: Lisa Schultz Directors: Preschool: Chris Ramos Girls Program: Barbie Jared Boys Program: Joel Ierien Rhythmic/Dance: Vacant Cheer: Vacant Competitive Team: Vacant R. C.: Jim Walker July 7th: The Girls' Team Fees were due and we are pleased to announce this years girls team: Level 6: Karessa Level 4/5: Hannah, Lexy, Danielle, Hayley, Michelle, Sarah Level 4 Training Team: Britney, Emma, Gina, Lyndsey, Shandra, Mitina, Mackenzie Shelley and K.C. are at this time choosing to take the year to advance their skills and not compete. May 27, 2002: Great Job at the Cartwheel-A-Thon to our Team Members! Britney, Danielle, Emma, Gina, Jake, Karessa, Kayla, Michelle, Ryan, Sarah, and Shandra, did more than 3,452 cartwheels combined in 30 minutes. All of the money raised from the cartwheel-a-thon goes toward the gymnasts to help pay their team fees. |
