Pellakal
*A voice from the heavens, also known as the GM, cries out*
Bld looks in the right place. About 7 inches from the base of the tree is a large uprooted patch of dirt, and the remains of some members of the saprophytic Fungi spieces, also known as mushrooms.
A few feet in front of Bld, Eorinae spies the passing tracks of  the boar in a dampish spot. Bld walks over and passes his hands over the tracks. The 230 pound boar has made deep inprints in this area, but the impressions are only slightly damp - a few hours old.

Rohwyn
Well, shall we try to follow these tracks do you think?

orina
it would be a good idea, perhaps they would lead to the best spot for finding this pericular boar away from its lair.

Braganil
*Giving a slight whoop, Braga nods aprovingly at his fellow hunters, lookign at the track intensely* Well done, Bld , a 230 pound boar would be a fine beast. Also, from the slanted imprints of teh hooves you can easily deduce this boar favours its right side. Therefore, once we find the sow, keep that in mind and attack from the left if possible. It also grazed and walked away at a leisurely pace, it shouldnt be far from here, maybe within a league or two. Lets track and follow our dinner, shall we?

*With that, Braga taks his spear into his left hand, his sword into the right, beginning to moveoff into the brushy underwoods, cutting the brish and nasty thorny things as he goes to clear his path*

     Pellakal
*The heavenly voice of the GM booms out again*

With Braga in the lead, and Bld and Eorinae on either side, the hunters follow the tracks. Spears are at the ready, and all speak in hushed voices.
*the GM clears his throat and adresses the startled hunters*
Behold! I fear that on the 21st hour of this day I shall be with you all no more (a matter of 2 weeks). Alas, but see to the boar! Let him not escape your spears! At the time mentioned I shall hand over the Golden Keyboard of Justice and Power over to Braganil! All hail!

Amhran
(OOC: All Hail Braganil! *kowtows* )

Amhran takes off at an angle to Braganil, hoping to come around in a pincer movement and come at the boar from both sides. It cant attack front and back at the same time, she knows. However, she doesnt try to hack at the brush. Instead, she moves silently through the undergrowth, waiting to flush the boar when she finds its lair and catch it unawares.
Pellakal
*the same booming heavenly voice of the GM is hushed with excitement*
The tracks, which have been leading in a southeast direction, now are suddenly lost in an area of hard ground. Amhran has anticipated my divine influence though, and, by cutting at an angle, finds three sets of tracks, very recent, about 8 feet from where the previous tracks stopped- now leading in a southwest direction, running paralell to the Snowbourn.

Braganil
(OOC: *looks in wonder at the Golden Keyboard of Justice and Power and wonders how much this thing is worth in TTT movie tickets ) Alrighty, well, my loud cutting was intentional, since I want the boar to think the main threat to its precious hide comes from me. Ha! Amhran, orina, Roh, Ber, Bldtunge - these tracks look like those from two sets of boars. *Braga kneels down and sniffs the tracks* Yeh, those tracks have been made by a female and her offspring. This could be dangerous. What should we do? Gimme your opinions.

Amhran
Well, how protective are sows of their offspring? If they are like bears, and will fight for their young, we should not separate them. If they are clueless like many animals are (rodents, for example: "babies? what babies?" LOL) then we might want to separate them and either take them one at a time, or have one hunter each go after a piglet and the rest concentrate on the mother.

  Bereth
*Panting as she runs up after being left behind, Ber pipes up*   Im quite sure pigs are fairly protective of their young, so trying to separate them is NOT the wisest choice!  (OOG: This midwestern farmgirl is having a hard time calling a "boar" a "sow"!)

    Pellakal
*The GM, glances over some notes and speaks up again* Righty-o, I have returned and I will now revive the hunt and see if anybody is still about.  More info on the way, just let me eat my lunch!

*the GM has turned into a lowly hunter *
*Pellakal catches up with Braga and whispers in his ear* If there is a mother, then there is like to be a father. Perhaps we should let the young ones be and concentrate on the male boar, whose tracks we first spotted. This will ensure good hunting in this area in the future. What do you think?

Braganil Goslan
*Having already played with the little tyke boarlings in his mind, Braga is snapped back to attention by Pellys sound words of advice* Oh, right, right. I am sorry, i have been ... distracted. But look at thsoe lil piglet, they are so cuuuute! *Noticing the strange looks on his companiosn faces, Braga lets go of his little dream of raising a family of piglet, and ponders the task at hand* Right, we should follow the father, and let the mom and her brood alone. Let us try and sneak up on the male, carefully! OK, folks, lets scadoodle! *Braga takes his spear firmly in hand and starts sneaking, following the fresh tracks of papa boar*

    Pellakal
*Pell pats his friend on the back* Its ok, well find you a nice lil piggy-wiggy when were through.  Maybe you could start a Boar Farm to raise hunting boars. Sows only weigh about 370 lbs (170 kg), whereas the boars weigh 440 lbs (200 kg). Better eating if we get the boar! *He takes his spear and follows closely behind Braga*
