Some pictures from the 3-D frenzy...
Karla Davis make this great quilt from the class!
This is from Susan Rapalus, VA .  It is as much as would fit in her scanner. Her contrast is stunning!
"Spring" by Elaine Rose of Montana

I wanted to get a border on this but can't wait to send the picture... The day before the frenzy my grandson brought in the first buttercup flower of the spring so I used this as my "theme" for the Frenzy.  Thanks so much for a lovely time.  Elaine has the ground, the green grass trying to push it's way through the left over patches of snow, her yellow buttercup and the blazing sun... lovely!

Peekaboo Parrot by Mary Ann Beattie

After I started to get my triangles done I realized that I had a tropical "theme" going here.  Since most of my fabrics are tropical colors it happened naturally. I had the blue ocean, the lush green plants, the blue sky topped with a fiery orange and purple sunset.  Of course I just had to add a parrot sitting in the top of the palm tree!  On the right when I sewed on the border, I realized that I had whacked off the head of  the toucan, so I found one on a scrap of  the fabric and appliquéd his head  back on.  It fell over onto the quilt top and I liked it! I didn't intend to put on the parrot border but it seemed fitting when done. This parrot fabric is left over from a shirt I made for a Jimmy Buffet concert... sent to me by a friend in CA... I just had enough left and dropped my "attitude" long enough to piece the border together.  I would have never done that before, but I'm loosening up in my old age just to start finishing things.
