| CD Review for Rise Against- The Unraveling HELL YES!!! Musical 88 Fingers Louie combined with a new singer and drummer. And wow! is Tom (the new singer) a great addition to what used to be 88FL. He resembles Denis in the way he sings both melodic and hardcore styles, but Tom can change from one to the other 3 times in 5 seconds...it's freaking incredible. The music is standard 88 Fingers Louie style stuff, which I dig. This album is much harder than most of 88FL's other stuff, but I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying this cd. It's been a month now since I got it, and I'm not really getting tired of it. I always want to listen to it more because I feel it doesn't get enough play because it came out close to Alkaline Trio, Propagandhi, Diesel Boy, Ataris and Randy etc. But my brother and his friends are freaking obsessed with this album. Give this a try, the mp3 is the melodic stuff, I'd say about 30%hardcore and 70% melodic stuff. This is a damn good album, but I'm afraid I won't give it a deserving ranking because I feel I still need to listen to it more. But for now, here you go. This gets a damn ass sexy 89/100 Best Songs (Alive and Well, 401 Kill, 1000 Good Intentions) Review by Dave Norman |
