CD review for Reset- No Limits

When I first saw the video for Pollution off of this album, I was hooked.  These guys are local to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, but Pierre (the singer) has just left the band which sucks big time cause he is pretty damn good.  I was very surprised with how good this CD was, considering they were only 17-18 when it was recorded.  It flowed well and was pretty consistent all the way through, with 4 or 5 amazing songs.  The lyrics are very thought provoking and work well with the music which make you sing along.  To describe the sound, its kinda a cross between Green Day and MxPx, but better than both by far.  The singers voice sounds like Billy Joe but with more talent and less screechiness.  I find in a band, the singer makes or breaks the CD, basically if the singer sucks, I dont like them musically.  These guys had a great singer but I havent had a chance to hear their new singer, I really hope he is as good as Pierre was.  These guys are from Montreal and I cant detect an accent, and oh god how I wish I was able to see them live.  The guitarist also sings a song on this album called Planet Earth, which has really good lyrics.  It is based mostly upon how we abuse our land, and if we dont stop, it will be a wasteland.  I really suggest you take a listen to these guys, theyre worth it.

This CD will get a well deserved 93/100

CD review for Reset- No Limits

This is currently my favorite CD and has been for a couple months.  I honestly listen to it at least twice a day and about twice a week I listen to it three or more times a day.  I think it is safe to say that I am obsessed with this CD.  Every song is up beat and well done much like the Cooter CD.  There are no weak songs and many songs that blow you away.  The last song is four and a half minutes of pure heaven and forces you to listen to the CD again, and again.  These guys are a cross between Cooter and the Ataris, which is why I love them; they have great vocals, and unbelievable guitars that have you going nuts.  These guys blend so well together while still being able to mix it up it's hard to realize how technically sound they really are.  This CD is pure entertainment; it may not be as deep as the Bigwig CD but is still filled with amazing song after amazing song.  They take you on 45-minute ride that leaves you breathless by the end and begging for more.  The lyrics for these songs are meaningful and can be related to by most teens.  This CD is pure entertainment, what else can I say?!  There are so many different aspects of this CD that they excelled at that you don't even think about it.  When I'm sitting in school I can't wait to go home and listen to the CD and every time I do listen to it I still get Goosebumps.  One of the worst days of my life was when I walked into school and Dave told me that Reset broke up; I almost cried, and felt like screaming WHY???   I still don't understand why they did it after such a great start, they are a group of young guys so maybe it is just a temporary move that was caused by some feeble argument.  Hopefully they will come to their senses and get back together, or maybe two good bands will be formed from this split.  There is too much talent in these guys for them to ever disappear.  Anyway, maybe when you guys go out and buy their CD they will see the demand for their music.  There is no doubt in my mind that this is in the top 5 CDs that I have ever heard.
Much like Bigwig I wish I could create a separate scale for them since they are so much superior to most other bands.

I will give this CD a 99 out of 100.  I'm not giving it a 100 because it has a couple songs that aren't perfect, which makes it is just a bit worse than Bigwig's Stay Asleep.  No Limits is a must buy for punk fans and will not be taken out of your CD player for quite a while once you get it.
