CD Review for The Stryder- Masquerade In The Key Crime
I first heard these guys on my Equal Vision Comp. and basically...I was thrilled. I thought, yes, more stuff like Saves The Day! The singer does sometimes sound like Chris Conley from STD, and that's a good thing. Although, Eleven Eleven(the first song i heard) is the only song that sounds exactly like that. The rest of the CD is really good though! Except maybe Sexy Black Train, I don't like that song very much. These guys are probably the closest thing to alternative that I've bought in a while. It's still punk, but kind of a pop/melodic hardcore punk. If that makes sense. Yeah, so I don't really know what else to say, except I'm very impressed with this first release. I hope they come out with some more stuff in the next year or so. Give the mp3s a try.
This gets 85/100 because it's above average but not totally incredible
