| CD Review for Midtown- Save The World, Lose The Girl Yes, you probably have already heard of this band, especially if you live in the states. I've seen countless pages about them all over the internet, yet it took me forever to find out about these guys. When I bought this cd no one I knew had ever even heard of them. I'd downloaded some stuff from napster and knew this would be a pretty damn good cd. And about that, it's a pretty good cd. If you are into New Found Glory, Saves The Day, or other softer melodic punk stuff these guys are for you. They have three incredible singers, my favorite being Heath, who sounds just like Nikola from Millencolin without the accent. The music is kind of soft, but the acoustic song is really good, so for some reason I don't find myself loving this album, and I can't understand for the life of me why. I don't even listen to the cd very often, and when I do I feel like playing something different. It's my kind of music, but I just can't seem to get really into these guys. The cd is really good and all, I guess I feel it's too soft...but then again I love Alkaline Trio and Saves The Day...so what gives? Anyway, if you are a fan of melodic punk, get this...you may need some tissues to clean up the mess afterwards...but you know. I do recommend this, I just think it has very little replay value. Damn I'm confused. This gets a undeserved 85/100, but you'll probably think it deserves way more Best Songs(Just Rock and Roll, Let Go, Such A Person) Review by Dave Norman |
