| CD Review for The Gamits-Endorsed By You I first heard these guys on the Playing Four Square comp. I was in Toronto spending all my freakin money on CDs and I saw this album. Now, I'd only heard the one song (Guy In Club) but I remembered it being really damn good. So I thought, let's take a gamble and give it a try. I'm DAMN GLAD I did, because this is one really cool album. Great singing (kind of like early Green Day crossed with Buck Wild) combined with above average lyrics, and with a single, but wicked, guitar, and great bass with really good background singing. The CD is pretty diverse if you listen to it from start to finish, but I was real happy with the finished product. There is however, one very sub par song on the album, and that is And You For Me, which I did not like in the least. It was too slow, with bad singing, and it didn't flow or sound very melodic, but hey...that's just me. Besides that song, I thought this was a really good album for such a small band. Check out the MP3, you'll probably like it. I'll give this an impressive 85/100 Best Songs(All Wicked, Audrey's Davenport, El Capitan, and Guy In Club) Review by Dave Norman |
