These kinds of questions really judge if the project manager has really worked as project manager. In my project we used to have weekly knowledge transfer session which would ensure that every module is know to every developer. Second we used to also rotate modules on regular basis this ensured that we do not have developers tied up to a module.
Note: - But again this answer is subjective. Some can say we had proper documentation at place, some can say we had code properly commented etc.
