Good Traders

Erik Varga

Erik and I have traded several King Crimson shows, and each trade has made me more well off.  He has a fantastic collection, primarily Crim/related, and is easy to negotiate with.  He's one of only two people who unfortunately got hit with a poorly burned copy from me, but was easy to get the error corrected with.  I recommend him highly.

Another Crimson collector (he specialises in 1971-72 Islands era Crim), I have traded for Crimson and Genesis with him.  He is also easy to get along with, and he has a spectacular collection of Crimson, Genesis, Pink Floyd and more.  I've had great experiences with him.

Tom Wingo

(no website yet)

I feel like I traded half my collection to Tom...and in return got a bevy of Dream Theater live material.  Another easy person to work with.

Doug Collins

Doug (a member of Echoes) was kind enough to trade me copies of Azimuth Coordinator parts 1 and 3, completing my AzCo set.  This would be enough to add him, but he was fast, courteous and kept me informed on his progress.

Late Update: several shows later (and a few gifts as well), I'm more convinced than ever that Doug is near the top tier of traders!   Well worth contacting.

Rob Nixon

Rob (another Echoes-ian) and I just completed a pretty big trade, and he was also fast and kept me informed on his progress...almost in a taunting manner!  Seriously, he is a great trader, and I look forward to additional trades with him.

Anthony Austin

http://www.phishhook.com/lists/klairvoyance/

After a frustrating period of misplaced communication and lost packages (sounds like a concept for a Pink Floyd album, eh?) I am happy to add Anthony to my list.  It took a while for his show to arrive due to postal problems beyond his control,  but not only did he follow through, he sent an extra show to make up for the lost time and frustration.   He packs well, and is very conscientious about making sure you are happy with what you asked for!

I have recently been able to get back into the trading cycle again, despite some hardware difficulties that ended up messing over several trading partners.  The purchase of a new CD-RW drive, reformatted hard drive and new software has seemed to have solved the problem.  Here are some of the newest trading partners I have worked with:

Jeffrey Mewbourn

http://www.geocities.com/jm292/mylist1.html

Jeffrey provided me with several excellent Marillion shows.  He's very conscientious, has a diverse trading list, and is easy to deal with.  He's one of the ones who got messed over by my hardware meltdown, but was very good about it.

Paul Gibson

Another diverse list, Paul and I have worked two trades so far with good results on both sides.

Ian Horvatis

http://www.geocities.com/aurarain/tradinghome.html

Ian is another very excellent trader.   He has several fantastic Genesis shows in his collection, and is also guitarrist in Aura, a Buffalo NY based hard rock/progressive rock band.  Check out their music at http://www.geocities.com/aurarain/tradinghome.html and see what you think!

Harry Peachey

Since joining up on the various webrings I've found, as well as the Tape Trader Network, I've found my list of contacts growing.   Harry contacted me, and we set up a trade for (on my end) 2 1971 King Crimson shows I had never seen offered to me in a trade before.  Kept me updated, packed exceptionally well, and sent priority.  A very conscientious trader.

Rick Downs

http://www.dusia.com/cdr.htm

Rick contacted me to set up a simple Rush for Depeche Mode trade.  The disks he sent me were fantastic, and quickly received.   He just contacted me for a second trade, which we're currently negotiating.   Plus, he added me to his good traders page, so I have to do the same!

My list of good traders could be increased exponentially as now I have a very very active on-line mailing list for the trading and sharing of live/unreleased studio recordings from a number of progressive music groups.  This e-mail list, Prog_CDR, is currently hosted by Yahoogroups, and I've probably met and made trades with a dozen plus new traders in the almost 3 months the list has been running.  Rather than listing everyone as I do above, with loads of comments and stuff, I'll do two things...give you a list of those good traders I've worked with, and give you a link to the list, so you can check it out and see if it's right for you!
