Bill's Most Wanted List

Part of me would love to make this a 10 most wanted list, but I'm sure there's more than 10 shows I'd be looking for!  So this will instead highlight some of the material I'm most looking for, and give you an idea of what I may want to add to my collection.

Read on...

Pink Floyd: any shows from 1967-1970 that I do not already have.  Especially 1967 and 1968 shows, as they seem to be the hardest to find.  I'm also interested in the strange period during 1970 that PF played a number of odd tracks, including Sysyphus, Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, The Violent Sequence, Theme From More, and stuff along those lines.  I won't pass up exceptional 1971-1974 shows, leading up to and including the British Winter Tour.  After 1974 (the WYWH, Animals, and Wall tours) the show has to be very very unique for me to be interested, as the setlists didn't vary that much.  I already have the Montreal 1977, Knebworth 1975, and LA 1980 shows, which have some of the more unique performances on them.

Marillion: anything, really.  I'd love to get more of the early demos, and early shows that include Grendel in the setlist.  I'm also looking for more Hogarth era material, including shows from the Afraid Of Sunlight, Radiation and dot.com tours.

King Crimson: I'm dying to get my hands on Hyde Park 1969.  I've been holding out for the official release, which seems to be indefinitely delayed/may never come out. (update 03.24.01...thanks to a kind trader, I finally have my copy of Hyde Park 69.  Well worth the wait!)

More shows from 1971-72, which is honestly my favorite era of King Crimson.  More 1973-74 shows.  I'm also very interested in obtaining shows from the 2000 TCoL tour, as the official live album Heavy ConstruKction really impressed me.  Not as much interest in 1980's material, and I have loads of THRaK/THRaKaTTaK/HORDE Fest shows.

Yes: just more.  I don't have a lot yet, though what I have is of high quality.  Especially more material from the Union tour, the ABWH tour, anything from the Drama tour with Geoffrey Downes and Trevor Horn, and anything from the Talk tour with Talk material on it.

Hawkwind: the Hawkestra gig (update 04.07.01...this show is en route to me, finally!).  Shows from the Xenon Codex tour.  Any shows with Robert Calvert, Nik Turner, or both.  Any good quality/unique performances from the 1970's, including material from the Warrior on the Edge Of Time, Astounding Sounds/Amazing Music and Quark: Strangeness and Charm tours.   I'd also be interested in live performances by relations of Hawkwind, including but not limited to Nik Turner solo (especially material from the Xitintoday period), Robert Calvert solo, and so on...

Genesis: shows from many of the tours :-)   Specifically, material from the Selling England period, Trespass, Duke, Invisible Touch and We Can't Dance tours.  I'd also love to get more material from the unfortunatley abortive Ray Wilson period, as what I have heard so far has impressed the heck out of me, especially the one live show I have and all the alternate versions/demos/b-sides.

Blue Oyster Cult...anything.  Lots.   Oodles.  Obviously the better the quality the more interested I'll be.   I'm especially interested in recordings from the Imaginos tour, the 1992-1995 period (pre-release versions of lots of Heaven Forbid material, and the Bad Channels soundtrack songs).  Spectres and Cultosarus Erectus tour shows are a like as well...

Other groups: I'd love to get some Rush shows.   Renaissance, as well as Annie Haslam solo material and especially recordings of the recent reunion shows.  More Dream Theater, Transatlantic...

I'm sure there'll be more added soon, so keep your eyes open...
