There's
not much here to draw you away from your quest. Ishihara will
be mentioned again as a good trading source, and there are
some interesting books in the library, but that's about it.
In the main room you'll find the Club members, and the first
one you'll see is Erik. Erik- Poison deck Prizes: 4 Win: 2
Evolution boosters Erik's deck name says it all. He has packed
poison aplenty into his deck, and that can be very dangerous
indeed. Luckily, many of his Pokemon are Weak against Psychic
types, so put together a Psychic deck to duel him with. Make
sure to include 4 Full Heals- you'll need them. In the far
right corner is David, who loves Nidoran family Pokemon. David-
Lovely Nidoran deck Prizes: 4 Win: 2 Mystery boosters David
will swamp you with Nidoran Pokemon. Nidoran (F) Lv13 's Call
for Family attack means that his bench will fill up quickly,
and he's not at all shy about evolving his Pokemon. Luckily,
most of them are Weak against Psychic attacks, so use a Psychic
deck again. Include some Devolution Spray if you have it to
make life a little easier, but you shouldn't really need it.
Next up is Joseph, who quite literally stands between you
and the Club Master. Joseph- Flyin' Pokemon deck Prizes: 4
Win: 2 Laboratory boosters Joseph seems obsessed with flying
Pokemon- his deck is full of them! Try a combination Lightning/Psychic
deck against him, to play to his deck's Weaknesses. Be wary
of his Pokemon's Whirlwind attacks, which act like a Gust
of Wind card. Prepare with several switches and low retreat
cost cards, and you should do fine. After Joseph comes the
Master, Rick. Rick- Wonders of Science deck Prizes: 6 Win:
Science Medal, 2 Mystery boosters Rick's deck is painfully
vulnerable to Psychic attacks, so switch back to an all-Psychic
deck. Be prepared for lots of Grimer Lv17 and Koffing Lv13
to act as buffers while he powers up his heavy hitters. Keep
the pressure on him, and Rick will fold under your Psychic
assault. Then the Science Medal will be yours!
