| Warriors (1994) Cast:Gary Busey, Michael Pare When a persumed dead soldier(Busey) goes AWOL, a mercenary(Pare) is hired to retrieve him and kill if pushes comes to shove, along the way a personal war develops and when the mercenary finds out a unit has been called to eliminate him, he teams with the dead soldier in this terminally dull actioner. Any movie that stars Gary Busey and Michael Pare should be awesome. Both of them are the most dependable actors in the genre, but here they create a gigantic disappointment as the movie fails to really take advantage of the action that a premise like this would call for. Indeed this predictable movie fails because it doesn't even have any action until the end, and what transpires is truly a letdown as both Busey and Pare take their assassins out with reletive ease, never is there any energy or brains to be found in the script, it is simply a tedious vehicle for two stars who should've known better. Performance-wise both Busey and Pare just look bored here and if you find yourself watching you yourself will be bored as well. Both Michael Pare and especially Gary Busey deserve a better movie for their talents. D.Shimon Dotan *1/2 |
