| Tiger Claws (1992) Cast:Jalal Merhi,Cynthia Rothrock,Bolo Yeung Jalal Merhi and Cynthia Rothrock star as two cops who are hunting the "Death dealer" who kills martial artists (mostly champions) with a special technique called "Tiger claws" hence the title. A movie is only as good as it's villian, And Tiger Claws has an incredible villian in Bolo Yeung,this hulking martial artist makes Merhi and Rothrock seem like lightweight flower children, sure Rothrock and Merhi are really good martial artists but Bolo really steals the show here. Not only is Bolo imposing but he speaks with a calm voice and he makes the villian memorable. Another aspect of Tiger Claws which is rewarding is it's attention to details. When the tv actor/martial artist gets killed by Bolo a video of the actor telling everybody he's invincible provides a classic moment yours truly will never forget. D.Kelly Makin *** |
