| The Specialist (1994) Cast:Sylvester Stallone,Sharon Stone,James Woods,Eric Roberts,Rod Steiger The Specialist if anything is a prime example on how to make an overbloated bad actioner, boasting one of the thinnest premises since Stallone did Cobra, The Specialist is at times so ridiculous that it almost becomes one of those infamous "So bad they're good" movies. The Specialist certainly has all the elements. It boasts one of the most laughable sex scenes in modern history and well Stallone and Stone have as much erotic chemistry as water and fire. Indeed, the "pashion" couldn't light a gasoline soaked rope. Plus the actionscenes are routine and laughably overblown and the acting is really something else.It's all as terrible as one would expect from a post-Basic Instinct Sharon Stone movie and a pre-Cop Land Stallone but it's worth a look for Stallone fans..D.Luis Llosa * |
