| Sniper (1993) Cast:Tom Berenger, Billy Zane Tom Berenger plays a secret service sniper who shows his new "spotter" the ropes of the business while in South America on a mission to assassinate guys who may pose a greater threat later.In this stylishly directed and somewhat suspenseful actioner. Simply put it's the stars that make Sniper worth seeing, the movie is marred somewhat by a few slow moments but typically things don't get too tedious, mainly due to the inspired acting from Berenger and Zane who make their roles more memorable by actually putting some personality behind it. Berenger has always been a good choice to cast in roles like this, due to the fact that he's the closest thing to a Charles Bronson we have, while Zane on the other hand always adds intensity to his performances and together they play well off each other. The main flaw about Sniper is that the story itself is basicly Rambo with a sniper rifle, as no cliche has been spared but for a movie this well made, it gets by mainly on the performances and for that I was entertained through out.
