| The Silencer (1999) Cast:Michael Dudikoff,Brennon Elliott Michael Dudikoff stars as a hitman named Quinn who has a heart who trains an assassin wannabe, who is really an undercover FBI agent(Elliot) who is set up to take a fall by his superiors, however Quinn and his apprentence join forces to stop the conspiracy in The Silencer, which proves to be Dudikoff's best film in nine years it also boasts Dudikoff's best performance to date as The Silencer outclasses a lot of theatrical productions, to say this is an impressive effort is to understate. The Silencer is a nice change of pace for Ex-American Ninja Dudikoff, mainly because this one had most of the rewards in it's story, which is very well written and quite enjoyable, Lee's directing is absoluately merciless and he never lets us out of his grip of suspense that makes this easily Dudikoff's best later offerings..One good factor is Dudikoff's chemistry with Elliot infact I haven't seen this much chemistry to one of Dudikoff's co-stars since Steve James and for the most part The Silencer works well to make for a satisfying hour and a half. Dudikoff has actually managed to use his stoic acting to great advantage and for that this nail-biter comes off as one of Dudikoff's best movies. D.Robert Lee *** |
